Charity Auction: Disorient Express London - Prague 19 September 2013

CBCC members have been cordially invited to take part in the The Disorient Express London – Prague charity auction, due to take place on 19 September 2013 at 6.30pm, at the Red Gallery, 1-3 Rivington Street, London.

“The Disorient Express aims to animate common cultural connections between Prague and London. Disorient refers to the diversity of the contemporary art scene, the variety of media applied a generation of artists forming the young and future face of both cities; and is a frank reference to the legendary Orient Express. The success and popularity of all the exhibition´s stations shows this route undoubtedly found its happy customers.”   Ladislav Pflimpfl, Disorient Express curator and 2012 engine-driver.

The auction features over 30 train carriage models brilliantly designed by featured artists, including some of the most critically acclaimed emerging and established artists working in the UK and the Czech Republic.

The auction earnings will be donated to the Islington-based charity Access to Sport which delivers a range of free sports and educational activities for young people.

Entrance to this event is free, but registration is required at auction@czechcentre.org.uk by 13 September 2013.
