VOYAGE THROUGH CENTRAL EUROPE AT THE INTERNATIONAL FASHION SHOWCASE 2014

12 February – 23 February 2014, 180 The Strand, London WC2R 1EA , 10am – 6pm

The Czech Centre London, Balassi Institute, Hungarian Cultural Centre London and the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in the UK proudly present Voyage through Central Europe: a joint showcase of 14 emerging designer talents from the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia who will present their newest collections of garments, jewellery and accessories as part of the 2014 International Fashion Showcase.

The project was jointly curated by the Czech Fashion Council, Design Terminal Hungary and the Slovak Fashion Council and aims to introduce the best in current young fashion design. The selected work borders between visual arts and fashion design and creatively blends traditional materials with new technologies, while focusing on strong personal statements.

The exhibition architect Gaspar Bonta combines the rough concrete walls with exquisite objects from Czech glass company LASVIT and dynamic video-mapping allowing the visitors to fully explore all the new trends and fashion ideas coming from Central Europe.
