British Czech & Slovak Association (BCSA) in cooperation of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic cordially invited members of public to the following event:
A talk by Professor Jan Marek
MY LIFE AND WORK
Internationally recognised for his pioneering research in cardiology, Jan Marek holds professorships at University College London and at Prague’s Charles University. He specialises in the diagnosis of congenital heart defects in the unborn child, and has established foetal cardiac screening programmes in Prague, Munich and at Great Ormond Street Hospital, where he has worked since 2005. He will be introduced by journalist and media consultant Ivan Kytka, formerly of the BBC World Service, and is sure to provide a fascinating comparative perspective on advanced medical care in Britain and the Czech Republic.
