The Czech Embassy was originally built between 1965 and 1970 in the new style adopted by Czech architects: Brutalism. The build has undergone a two-year thorough refurbishment and opened on the evening of 24 November 2017. Now it hosts all things Czech: offices of the Embassy, CzechTourism, CzechInvest, CzechTrade and Czech Centre.
The official opening by the Ambassador H.E.Libor Secka, the Deputy Minister of the Foreign Affairs Mr. Martin Smolek, was followed by a Czech buffet reception, Lenny's concert and an improvised theatrical performance. Hundreds of guests could also see a few light installations, a film about the history of the building, an exhibition of Viktorie Langer and so much more.
