In 2011, the chamber offered a rich events programme either alone or in conjunction with the Czech Embassy. In early June, members had the opportunity to join a discussion on the Economics of Good and Evil with a young Czech economist, Tomáš Sedláček. This was followed by an invitation to a rather unique event, a theatre performance based on the book and informal stage debate at the Soho Theatre in London in November.
In late June, members were invited to two discussion events with the Czech Ambassador and the Governor of the National Bank, Miroslav Singer.
During October there were two event, firstly Mr Karel Schwarzenberg, the Czech Republic Deputy Prime Minster and Minster of Foreign Affairs, gave a talk on the Role of Smaller EU Member States in the Post-Lisbon Environment at Chatham House and secondly, the CBCC Annual dinner was held, attended by our Patron, His Excellency Michael Žantovský.
And finally our co-operation with the British Chamber of Commerce in Prague resulted in an invitation to a Guy Fawkes Gala Evening held in November at the extraordinary Martinický Palác.
The programme for 2012 will be discussed at the Annual General Meeting on 28th February.
