Panellists' bios:
Allie Renison, SEC Newgate
Allie joined SEC Newgate after a number of years in government on appointment, working most recently as a direct policy adviser to the Business and Trade Secretary of State.
She previously led the Institute of Directors’ EU and trade policy, working closely with a wide range of cross-sector businesses and politicians across all parties during Brexit, and on wider international trade, agricultural and investment policy issues. She has sat in several expert groups in Whitehall and in Brussels, including the Brexit Business Taskforce, Northern Ireland Technical Advisory Group and European Economic Social Committee in Brussels, as well as regularly contributing to parliamentary committee evidence sessions with MPs and peers.
Allie has appeared extensively on media platforms across a diverse expanse of policy areas, and has 15 years of experience of working with stakeholders across Westminster and Whitehall, from the media and parliamentarians to officials and think tank leaders.
Karim Fatehi MBE, Chief Executive of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Karim is the Chief Executive of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). He has served as an LCCI Board member since September 2022 and has been a member of the LCCI Council for seven years. Karim is a highly experienced business leader and has served as Managing Director of United Corporation, a globally approved Engineering Procurement Management company which he established in 1995, for over 28 years. The company has twice won the Queens Award for International Trade in 2007 and 2011. He is also an expert in international trade and is currently serving as an Expert Trade Advisory Group (ETAG) Member on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). In 2012, he was awarded an MBE for his services to international trade. As well as being Export Champions for 7 years and on the judging panel for the Kings Awards.
Anne Mazoyer-Jankowska, Founder and Chair of FairValue Corporate & Public Affairs & Patron of the French Chamber of Great Britain
With more than 30 years of experience in the corporate communications and public and political affairs sectors, Anne is a graduate of the University of Nice and Trinity College of Oxford and began her career at the age of 23 by taking over the management of her family's industrial business. After creating the corporate communications consultancy JCI, acquired in 2003 by the Publicis group, and working on several industrial projects in different political crisis contexts under the presidencies of François Mitterand and Jacques Chirac, she founded FairValue Corporate & Public Affairs in 2005 in Paris, a European consultancy specialising in dealing with issues in complex environments. A dual French-Polish citizen, Anne is also developing the firm in Brussels, Rome, Warsaw and London, in order to offer companies support in European public affairs and international development strategies. She is also a specialist in crisis management and a political columnist for several media.
After working on Nicolas Sarkozy's European presidency in 2008, Anne also took part in Emmanuelle Macron's presidential campaign in 2016. Since 2000, she has worked on a number of politically controversial projects relating to the continued use of nuclear power in France, and then on a number of renewable energy projects in Morocco, in 2008 with Minister Jean-Louis Borloo under Nicolas Sarkozy, and finally in 2013 with Nicole Bricq under François Hollande.
