The Ambassador of the Czech Republic requests the pleasure of the CBCC members and other guests company at a discussion evening with Mr Jiří Kejval,Vice-president of the Czech Olympic Committee and Mr Brett D. Taylor, former Chief Executive of London Business Network

The event followed by cocktail reception is going to take place on Wednesday, 7 November 2012, at 6:00 pm at the Embassy of the Czech Republic, 26 Kensington Palace Gardens, London W8 4Q

CZECH THE TRENDS is a series of economic discussions given by outstanding personalities who are specialists in their field. The series will encompass topics including, but not confined to, economic, financial market, business, trade and technological developments in the Czech Republic, the EU and on the international scene.

Jiří Kejval is the Vice-president of the Czech Olympic Committee and the Chairman of the Czech Rowing Union.  As a former member of the Czech Rowing Team he achieved a number of successes representing his country in international sports events. Jiří is a graduate of the Czech Technical University. In 1990 he started his own business manufacturing and exporting quality office furniture. Since that time his company, Techo, has become a leader in the industry and has supplied furniture to many prestigious clients including Buckingham Palace. The successful model of the Czech Olympic House in London was mainly Jiří’s idea. He deserves most of the credit for the way that the House was received by the public, media and London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games. The Czech National House in Islington was awarded the gold medal for its open spirit and hospitality by the Associated Press Agency.
Brett D. Taylor was Chief Executive of the London Business Network until the end of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The London Business Network was an integral part of the Olympic games business strategy to promote business opportunities in the capital and to drive the showcasing of British business to international business visitors attending the London 2012 Games. Brett was also involved in helping to open up the immense opportunity the games presented to local companies through a series of seminars and the promotion of the CompeteFor tendering portal. During his tenure as CEO of the London Business Network he was involved in creation of the British Business Club, an innovative way to match up and partner British and foreign businesses to take advantage of the Games. Brett started his career in the Health Sector for a specialist orthopedic products company. He then worked as an IT consultant for KPMG Consulting and then ATOS Origin which involved working in many different countries across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. Brett is presently a Principle Consultant for BT Global Services.
