The Czech Prime Minister, Mr. Jan Fischer, the President-in-Office of the European Council gave a lecture in Chatham House on Monday 15 June



The Prime Minister discussed the highly interesting and relevant topic:

New Financial Architecture – Panacea or Chimera?

 The recent financial turmoil and resulting global economic crisis have led us to seriously re-consider all the currently accepted precepts of the financial and economic world. Financial regulation and its current architecture are being revised resulting in significant changes. The European Union is in the midst of talks on micro- and macro-prudence.
Jan Fischer, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, the President-in-Office of the European Council and a renowned academic and statistician offered his view on the issue.
